Starting in March, we are doing some trial worship services as we prepare to start more regular worship in the fall of 2019. We would enjoy for you to worship God with us and give us some feedback on what is working and what is not working. To see our times, head over to our calendar.
In our worship, we join with Christians from around the world who use The Book of Common Prayer to guide their experience of worship. During this time, we engage in a variety of activities such as:
- singing songs
- reading scripture
- listening to insights and reflections on scripture
- saying prayers
- confessing the Christian faith
- consuming bread and wine to partake in the body and blood of Christ
How should I dress?
God welcomes us as we are, so you are free to come in your usual colthes. People wear bluejeans, others wear dresses, and some even shorts when it is hot. The important thing for us is that you come!
What do I need to bring?
You do not need to bring anything with you. Everything you need to pariticpate in the servie is provided. Some people do prefer to bring their personal Bible or prayer book.
How will I know how to participate?
The entire service is either printed in a booklet or displayed on the screen, so you can follow along with everyone else on what we are doing at that time. Also everyone is free to participate in the service as God leads them.
Can I take communion(the bread and wine)?
Everyone who desires is welcome to receive a blessing from God during the communion time. For those who are not baptized Christians, the priest will say a blessing over you. For baptized Christians(this includes children), the priest will offer you bread and wine.
