What is a Missional Community?

For Holy Family, missional communities are a vital part of the vision and mission of what God is calling us to do. They contain the basic pattern of our common life together where we play, serve, pray, and support one another.

Our monthly rhythm for each missional community consists of four activities:

  • 2 gatherings a month devoted to prayer, Bible engagement, and encouragement of one another
  • 1 service event
  • 1 fun event

The idea is that by seeing each other four times a month in these various settings we might grow in our love for God, our love for one another, and our love for our neighbors. Currently we have one missional community that you can learn more about below.

As our church grows, we will start new missional communities that will meet at different times and places and have different service focuses as God calls people to venture into the world guided by the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus. In the meantime, I invite you to come experience one of our missional community events as you listen for God’s voice in your life.
